New Jelly Beans...

Yesterday, I was at Dollar General and decided to get Hubby a little bag of Jelly Beans b/c he loves them. I don't usually get them b/c they are so sugary I can't hardly eat them but I decided to try this new kind they had. They are put out by Crayola (yup, a branch of the crayon company) and they have Vitamins C & E in them and they are made with real fruit juice. They are great!! Not too sugary (though I'm still careful with them and drink lots of water when I have any) and I don't feel like I'm being deprived of a treat. You might try some and see how you like them.

That is funny that Crayola would come out with candy. I like jelly beans, but you are right most of them are too sugary. That is cool that they have vitamins in them. I guess if you are going to eat candy you may as well get a few vitamins while you are at it.

I reckon that Crayola lent its name to the new treat because of their COLORful shades.
I probably would have not been the least compelled to look at them let alone buy them because ofthe crayola name, however.
But with your recommendation and the nutritional aspects I may just take a special trip today.

hmmm these sound great, the last time I had jelly beans I had the gourmet ones I think they are called, they are all diiferent cocktail drink flavours and you can mix your own cocktail with them by eating certain ones together but I really likes the chocolate flavoured ones..

Who'd of thought that a company that makes crayons would make jelly beans? Weird! I will definitely keep my eyes peeled and I'll get them if I see them for sure. I love jelly beans! Well ... I love anything sweet period lol. Thanks for sharing!

I will have to go to Dollar General and look for these myself.Reading that they have vitamins in them sound great. I don't have diabetes but I keep a watch on them because both of my parents do.

I also love jelly beans a lot.I will buy them quite often and i have tried all different kinds , and i think i have bought those you are talking about..Another candy that everyone seems to love is candy corn, my husband loves them, but they are not in the stores all the year round, mostly around halloween, and i buy a lot of them at that time...They have also came out with different kinds of those too...

I just saw these at the store yesterday. Are they really good? I love jelly beans anyways, but ones that are made with real fruit would be a better alternative than the real sugary ones.

I'll have to try those, although my favorite jelly beans are jelly belly brand, they have so many flavors even one that is Dr Pepper and it really tastes like it! I also love the watermelon ones.

Wow, I am going to have to go look for those for the kids. The only jelly beans I really like are Jelly Belly. I pick out the few flavors that I like and leave the rest. My husband loves to buy the Bertie Botts Beans (Harry Potter) that Jelly Belly puts out. They come in disgusting flavors like vomit and spaghetti. He gives them to his friends now, because I made his stop giving them to the kids! Sometimes I think he will never grow up!

How great I will try them I love jelly beans but hey I am hooked on the new white chocolet thing and of course I still love the old and wonderful jawbreakers, they should make them into fruit flavors.

Dollar General, huh. Well we have 3 or 4 with in 5 miles so I should be able to find some of those jelly beans. My granddaughter loves the different kinds of jelly beans. Crayola really doesn't surprise me very much coming to making jelly beans. They have been putting scents in their colors for some time now. Thanks for letting us know about the jelly beans. I hope that they still have some when I can get to the store this week. Didn't Reagan keep a candy Jar full of Jelly beans on his desk?

I only eat gourmet jelly Beans. The two brands I eat are Jelly Belly and also Sam's Clubs Markers Jelly beans. I love all the odd ball flavors. My all time flavor would have to be Cotton Candy. Yummy. I eat a lot of Jelly belly's. I get the 2 to 5 pound bag which seems to last forever. Hee hee.

I bought some of them the other day for my 5 yr. old son...I like the fact that they have the natural fruit juices in them...he loved them...they will probably be the only jelly beans that I buy from now on...lol

Thanks for the information. I haven't seen them yet but I did get these other ones that had the real fruit and less sugar which were good. Though my youngest doesn't like any jelly beans the others liked them too. I will keep my eye out for them.
