Would you pay $169.99 for a toothbrush?

Call me a tightwad but I don't think I could ever spend that much for any toothbrush. I've always bought manual toothbrushes for two to three dollars. Yesterday I received my free Sonicare Toothbrush with a sanitizer, it's awesome by the way. I was interested what it would have cost me if I had bought it so I went to the sonicare website and the only compariable one cost $169.99. I'm very glad to have this toothbrush but I would never pay that much for a toothbrush. Would you?

I think that $169.99 for a toolbrush, even a great one, is just too much. I wouldn't buy it for that price. But tell me, how you got that one for free?

I'm a bzzagent and they offered me a campaing for the sonicare toothbrush with sanitizer. When you join the campaign you get the item for free to test and keep. You can join at bzzagent and then just put the .com after it. It's a great website. Have a great day.

For $169 you can get some gold teeth and not have to worry about brushing! No, I agree with you that's way to much money to spend on a toothbrush especially since it's not necessary. A cheaper brush works just as good.

I don't think you are a tightwad, I think you are sensible, I bet the company who made that are making a huge profit, I always look at people who pay a lot of money for things that are eiother over priced, not necessary or jus brand names with mega prices as people just being laughed at by these big companies...

That is way too much for a toothbrush unless the brush never wears out and even then I would probably not spend that much money on it..Though I would use it if I got it for free..;)

It would be great if they invented a brush that would never wear out but if you didn't have the sanitizer that cleaned it could you imagine how many germs would be on it after 10 years...lol. I will gladly use it since I got it for free. I used it as soon as I got it yesterday and it makes my teeth feel so clean. It's so much more powerful than what I expected it to be. Have a great day.

I got the Sonicare toothbrush through Bzz Agent for free. I really like it and I do know people who already owned the Sonicare, just less expensive models. The people I've told about this have been interested in the idea of the UV sanitizer and said they would be interested in buying one.

That's how I got mine also from bzzagent. I LOVE IT. I could probably brush my teeth 5 times a day now...lol. I can see why people that had the extra money would buy this product. I'm glad that we got ours for free. Have a great day.

I love it too! It's so mindless since it tells you when to switch areas of your mouth. I actually have a friend I told about it who plans to get her husband one for Christmas. They are in the medical field, so anything that gets rid of germs makes them happy.

It's awesome that you got it for free. I don;t see myself ever spending this much for a toothbrush. Seems like a little much. I'll stick to my couple dollar toothbrush

no i definitely wouldn't want to pay that much just for a toothbrush... that amount of money is better to be used for something else that is more important such as food, bills and other household expenses... i am very tight in money and we just made enough to cover all our expenses... we only have a little bit extra to save every month... so i better stick to my toothbrush now...

I totally agree with you. I can use that amount of money for several, more important things. I don't know how the makers of these toothbrushes stay in business. I guess the rich buy from them or something. Have a great day.

Hell no! I almost always buy the 2 pack of toothbrushes for around 2 or 3 dollars. I couldn't imagine spending so much on a toothbrush! I'm happy with the manual one I use and I have no intention of ever spending more than what I do for a toothbrush, even if I were to win the lottery! :P LOL It's ridiculous what some people will pay because it IS pricey to begin with. It just boggles my mind.

No, I believe that is too much money for a toothbrush! But you need to be careful, of these companies that send out free stuff, there is a reason for it! Once they get it too ya, they have you hooked, and they'll find a way, for you to pay for it! That is how they make money!

I wouldn't pay that much for a toothbrush either. That is just too much for a toothbrush. There are probably millionaires who wouldn't pay that much for a toothbrush.

Tell you the truth I will not. it is just too expensive to buy a tooth brush for $170 and I don't see any different. Yeah it should clean your teeth better, but does it really? I have been recommended this toothbrush from my dentist, but I am ingonring it. But I would probably get for christmas since my man think it is neccesary to buy something like that. But also I have to say I hear very good rewievs about Sonicare, so hope you will be happy with it.

I think it is a huge money. I don't think anyone would spend such a big amount of money unless he is very rick. I don't know anything about the Sonicare Toothbrush. I am also happy that you get the toothbrush free. I think a person with a very good amount of money might spend $169.99 on the toothbrush.

No way. Not me too! Unless I am filthy rich, no, I don't think I would even consider it. That is like SO MUCH MONEY that can be better spent elsewhere (or saved).:P

Certainly Not!! I question how many dentists out there actually own such a toothbrush. Everytime I go to the dentist, I'm told that good oral hygiene can certainly be achieved with a manual toothbrush. Of course, this should be done with the combination of flossing and such. If you can find me a toothbrush that also flosses my teeth, please, let me know! However, in summary, the complimentary toothbrush I receive every 6 months from the dentist is sufficient for my pearly whites.
