A-Rod is back in New York, thoughts

Well, it looks like somebody came crawling back to New York. Alex Rodriguez I guess loves getting booed out of Yankee stadium especially when he doesn't get it done in the post-season. It shouldn't be a surprise considering the hefty price tag and nobody wanted to be stupid and spend that type of money. Not a knock on New York but I think they're giving A-Rod too much money and he hasn't proven to be deserving.
Sure, he's been MVP and is the youngest to get to the 500 Home Run Club but what about the post-season. I won't deny how well he can hit and he's a very good hitter. I just don't think the money he's getting is worth it. In the end, the Yankees possibly will end up looking foolish for spending all that money especially if he doesn't get a ring for them.
Did anybody not see this coming at all? Will this continue to enhance his reputation of being the greediest player you'll ever meet in the game today? I know he did this without his agent but the money he's getting is further enhancing it.
I don't know about the Home Run King Title just yet because I'm not so sure. You never know what could happen exactly. For all we know, he could be injured constantly. I remember this happening when Ken Griffy Jr. went to the Reds and I believe (not sure) he was considered one of the guys to break the Home Run Record. He got injured like there's no tomorrow and was constantly on the DL.
Do you think he gets a ring in New York? Will the greedy and selfish reputation be tarnished and broken? What do you make of this?

For real. Wasn't $25 million a year enough money? All of a sudden, now he's touted as the next Home Run King. Watch as they'll go after him about steroids. I'm not gonna say he's on them without proof.
I think that's true as well. He probably wanted to get more money from the Yankees. Looks like the fish (Yankees) took the bait (A-Rod).

But he didn't get more money. He was going for $30 million a year and got less than that. I mean, $25 million is still so much money, but I think he failed in what he wanted to do.
He might have always wanted to be a Yankee, but I think the tried to use the Yankees against themselves. In the end, he realized only New York can afford to pay him what he wants.
At least now I don't have to turn my ARod t-shirt into a car rag.

True. I only said he got more because his original contract was $25 million a season on average and now he was getting $27.5 million a season on average. I think that's how it is going to work out. We'll see what happens though.

I am so glad he is in New York. They deserve each other and now I don't have to worry about The Red Sox trying to trade for him.Lowell is still a Red Sox.
I think A Rod has a good chance to be the best hitter in time. Will he win a World Series with the Yankees? I don't know. I know that The Yankees need pitching but will they be able to put all the pieces together welll enough to win it all?Time will tell.

I hate the Yankees.Thankfully back in 2003, I realized there was a team that hated The Yankees just as much as I do, The Red Sox. So I became a fan just in time to see them go all the way.And now it has been twice.

I think ARod probably got hyped from the people around him. In the end, I think he realized he was going to get the money he thought he was worth.
The fact that Arod had to go without Boras to the Yankees showed something about him. I actually have more respect with him for doing that. Before that, he was just making me angry. The fact that he made opted during the World Series and couldn't let that be the center of the baseball world showed his selfishness. Plus, he never even spoke to Brian Cashman to let him. That made me angry as well.
I think ARod is changing though. I am definitely happe to see him play becauise he was one of the best players any of us will get to see. I hope he breaks the home run record while he is a Yankee.

That's true. I'll give you that. He did this without his agent. I'll give him credit for doing this on his own. I don't know if he'll get the Home Run record but I do think however it's going to come down to him staying healthy. We'll have to see what happens.
