I was wonder if some of you bake your own cookies for christmas or just buy the store? I was looking in tree shops for some cutters , but can't find any. Maybe I was looking in the wrong store or the people don't bake anymore?

I make my own cookies. But... why were you looking in a tree shop for cookie cutters? Any kitchen store will have them, most grocery stores have them, if htey've got a section with kitchen tools. You can also find them at party goods stores and craft stores sometimes.

I always bake my own. I love fresh baked cookies...the smells and definitely the taste. I also like not having all the artificial ingredients that store bought cookies often have.

I love baking cookies from scratch. You wont find them in tree shops, look in the cooking isles in grocery stores or craft stores.

I haven't baked cookies yet. I tried to bake pizzas and cakes before and it was successful. As to cookies, be sure I will try to make it, too. Because I think they can store for a longer time.

I've seen them on eBay from time to time, but there are also many internet stores that sell nothing but cookie cutters. This one seems quite reasonable, and they even have a make-your-own cookie cutter kit: http://www.cookiecutter.com/ Yes, I still bake, but now I often buy mix from the dollar store instead of making the dough from scratch. This month I've seen cookie mix and cutters bundled together in attractive gift sets at several stores, too, and this is something I had not noticed before, at least not at the inexpensive stores where I like to shop. So cookie baking must be "in" again this year.

Yes, few years ago when I still don't have kids yet, I do always bake my own Christmas cookies. It was somewhat fuin to do that and I really liked to do that. But already few years I didn't do it, I don't really have time for that. Maybe if my children already a little bit older I will start to do it again.

Hi & Hello, Laurika. LOL!!!..shame on me because I am not an expert about cookies tools and baking preparation. I sincerely respect your good wish because it make me want to learn how to bake cookies. For simple one, will do. Because normally I purchased it online and the supplier sent it to my doorstep. Yes Laurika, a good idea to start on our own cookies. Happy Postings and Earnings, Laurika. HAPPY DAPPY.

I bake my own cookies. I am going to my mom's house today to bake with her. I makes it easier and quicker baking with someone. It's not as boring. I don't buy my cookies at the store, although now a days the stores have their own bakeries and they are just as good as homemade. But they can be very expensive. We, my mom and I, bake German receipe cookies. We have to go to a German meat market to get a lot of the ingredients because they don't sell them in normal grocery stores. My favourite cookies are sugar kisses. They are so easy to make. All you need is 3 egg whites with 9 tablespoons of sugar. You beat them with a mixer till they are stiff. Then spoon onto a baking pan and cook in the oven on 150 degrees for about 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours, till dried. Done and so yummy.

Baked at home is the most delicious healthy and fun way to make cookies for christmas, you can also teach your kids about your recipe and how to make healthy yet delicious cookies. Btw cookie cutters are available at any store that has kitchen tools on it. :D
