Mylot Deja Vu?! - Double Discussions or I'm going senile (you decide)

Okay, after seeing about a handful of repeat discussions I had to post this one. No I'm not talking about similar or repeated discussions from different members. I'm talking about the same member with the exact same discussion. I think I've seen it several times, or maybe I forgot to post to the discussion. Get your cameras for this one, I'm kind of stumped on this one. Maybe its internet error, or maybe members are doing their repeated discussions on purpose. Of course if its months ago and a mistake, thats a bit obvious. But I have seen some new members repost their same discussions in quick succession, or at least I think I have.
What say you? Have any of you seen or done something like this, or is Pro slipping further into senility?

Ah don't worry. Similar discussions a week or two later is fine. Plus similar doesn't mean the same. Worry not!

No, I have seen what you're talking about. Sometimes they are the same discussion with a slightly different wording, but still over the same thing. And when I look at when they were posted, it isn't simultaneously. Which makes me think they wait a long time for the discussion to be submitted, and finally get tired of waiting and sent it again. Thus the double discussions. That's all I can think of anyway.

Fair enough, I did think the internet, computer or user error was involved. Still, I can never rule out my seemingly growing "senility"

Yes I have seen that occasionally. I even saw one where the member who was posting the discussion actually said as they had received so few responses they had decided to re-post it under different interest groups!! I did not respond to it it the first time so I wouldn't care of it was re-posted 10 times as it was not any more interesting than the first time. I am surprised they dont get deleted.

I suspect it is someone looking for an easy way out with discussions. It can't be a My Lot error if you are seeing this problem from the same person.
I don't know who it is, obviously this person isn't on my list of friends.

Its happened to me, I'm not sure why. I wish we could edit thread starters.

Well sometimes its net lag or other technology problems. And as we know and edit/delete discussion feature would be hard to pull off with the almighty forum coding.

I've been seeing this for the past few weeks. I get alerts in my email from the same person and it's the same discussion. I thought it was just a mistake at first, but then I noticed that a few words might be changed here and there. I don't know what's up with posting the same discussion twice. It seems kinda pointless to me.

I hope that is going well Flight.
And now I'm the one that hopes to hear from you sometime.

Okay, so yes that is confirmed. And it stinks some members do it.
It gets annoying especially if zero effort was put in the discussions.
