Who can Program in Ada?

I heard Ada is used in designing critical systems? How true? i guess i'll like to learn it. Wonder why everybody has forgotten about this languages Fortran, Pascal etc? i guess you can't design gui's with these languages or can you?

I didn't have that much in ADA, although i never heard about that much, hope to get some cool response int his discussion.
