Read this article in the internet that Obama's campaign really is going great. Does HIlary Clinton still stand a chance? What do you think will happen now that Oprah is endorsing Obama's candidacy because for sure her fans will really back her up in her choice? ############# It might seem that the support and upcoming appearances of Winfrey are surely a net plus for Obama. His campaign manager David Plouffe tells TIME that she is "transcendent figure," who has avoided sullying herself in politics before and, thus, will provide "a newness and freshness" in appealing to the female and older voters whom Obama is trying to reach. Without question, Winfrey's foray onto the campaign trail will get Obama more publicity and a chance to convert her fans into Obama supporters. ############ But many people think that her support may even backfire... So yes, expect loud, rousing rallies in all three early voting states when Oprah Winfrey comes to town with her friend Barack Obama in early December, with gobs of media attention, raucous crowds, emotion and great pictures. But don't expect those events to do anything productive to allow Obama to get over the biggest hurdle standing between him and the White House. American voters are not looking for a celebrity or talk show sidekick to lead them. Obama is an intelligent and thoughtful potential President, but Winfrey's imprimatur is unlikely to convey those traits to many undecided voters. In that respect, Winfrey's events might even be - dare it be said - counterproductive.

Although I love Oprah. Anyone who votes on that sole reason shouldn't be voting. You have to become educated on all of the issues and decide for yourself. I think now more than ever, we have to be very careful who we put in the oval office. There's alot of cleaning up do, and it has to be just the right candidate.

yup! i agree with you summer. people have to make an educated choice based on what they have gathered on the candidate, not on what their idols dictate. :-)

I think Oprah is right to back Obama for president. I think he is a good politician, one with charisma and the ability to rally people behind him.... He is widely expected to become United states first president of African origin... Although some African-origin's organizations have raised concerns that he is not 'black enough', I think he is the perfect candidate the people of African origin in America can rally behind and since Oprah definitely falls in this category, she is right to support Barack Obama for president....

that is a good thing then. that means that Americans are ready to embrace other races....if they will accept obama as president.

I think the American people in general are capable of endorsing other races too.But the problem is that certain groups of people and organizations continuously lobby against people of African origin... i am not an American, but i do hope that Obama wins the elections because i think it will be better for the human race as a whole.....
