hard working is for the job or work for yourself

all of us trying best to do work everyday very tired and also spent so many time, do you work for yourself just for salary or work for company since you like the job, i think most people just for life and money then keep working.

It may depend on the job, the managerial, the boss and co-workers that one maybe working for just the salary or work your best as you like the job well. some managers treat employees very fair and just, so they see it just like working for themselves and can establish themselves very well through working in that company despite being under someone. however, working as your own boss and profit accruing to you isn't the same though....?
