Hi all... Now I think there are a whole lot of nationalities present here at mylot.. So, its kind of appropriate for me to start a discussion smthing like that... So, tell me, hows the state of roads in ur country?? Are they in a bad state or a good state?? Does the government does enough for the upkeep of roads in ur country??? Share with me people... Well I wud say, the roads in my country are in a very sorry state.. Not becoz of their quality, but becoz of the traffic.. It gets on increasing everyday, smthing like 1000 cars a day, and there's no space to drive at all.. U cud even find jams on the flyovers.. I think no proper planning is in place at the moment in my country...

The roads here are very insecure. Small and outdated. The government doesn't do anything to make them better and that's what makes me angry. There are many accidents daily on the roads because of not properly put traffic marks. Conclusion: the roads in my country are awful.

Our roads here are pretty good. There are some that need upgrading, and little country towns seem to miss out the most, but all in all, we have great roads. Oh, i'm in Australia! lol.

The state of roads my country are quite good. Repairs are quite often done on roads that have got into poor repair. There are people employed to make sure that the road surface is good enough on motorways. If it is not some they will close some of the lanes. Generally traffic signs are shown very well so drivers are aware of any hazards coming up ahead like a school crossing or a change in the maximum speed allowed on a particular road. We have speed bumps in a road close to my home. It also has the road narrowing in parts with priority for one side of the road only. All this has been designed to slow traffic down. However I know of one dangerous driver that races through the gap when another car that has priority is coming along. This sort of behavior is very silly and could result in a head on crash. There are yellow speed cameras situated on some roads. If a driver goes past one of these too fast they will be caught and they will have to pay a fine. Very naughty drivers may receive penalty points on their driving license. There is very much traffic, many roads are congested and traffic jams happen quite often. In my county destination signs are very poor meaning that people that don't know the roads well can get lost quite quickly. In my local city there is a confusing one way system. I was on a bus once and the driver lost his way. It took ages for him to get back on track due to the one way only streets.
