Basically, i went all out last year to paint my oldest daughters bedroom. She is in love with Disney princess so i had the bright idea of painting her room blue and hot pink.. what a mistake that turned out to be. She loved it dont get me wrong, but now she wants to change her room again, and well im stuck with latex disney paints on the wall. at first i figured i could peel ot away from the wall no problem right?? well.. it's not turning out to be as easy as i thought it would be. it's ripping the original textured wall with it. so my question is. How can i remove this latex paint? Or what kind of paint do i need to buy to go over it? And please keep in mind, the colors are cinderella blue, and sleeping beauty pink... Man, what a mess im in. any help is greatly appreciated.

You don't take paint off the wall, you just paint over it. I would buy some good primer/sealer to paint over those bright colors, so that they don't show through your new paint. And make sure you wash down the walls before you paint anything on them, especially areas where people touch the walls; the oil lft form their hands can keep the paint from sticking as well. Good Luck.

thank you so much for the advice. im what you would call an amature painter, but i do take pride in my work, even if it does take two months to finish a wall. haha. i will definatly take your advice, i didnt know about washing the walls down either. amazing what you can learn by asking a simple question.

I'm happy to help. I've learned a ton of stuff about DIY projects since we bought our house a few years ago. I like being able to use some of my experience to save others some time and trouble on their projects.
