I am trying to walk at least 10,000 steps a day for better health and to control my blood pressure. I figured it would be easy but if I don't take a walk and just do my every day work, I don't get near that. I even did Christmas shopping today and I'm only at 5,000. Amazing how hard it is, I figured with 2 kids I would easily make it.

We have a group here at work that walks around the building on their break. That way they are indoors in the a/c or heat and can get in their exercise. My only complaint is they yack it up and disturb people trying to work. I prefer to walk outdoors and enjoy nature. Looks like you are trying different things but taking a required walk mid-morning and again in the late evening is a sure way to get in extra steps :0 Good luck!

I always go by foot on short and even longer distances, because I enjoy walking. I go to school and back every day. That's about 2 kilometers. I go for a walk or two on a daily basis. I think it is good for the heart and the spirit. I like buying new movies so I sometimes go to the shopping center in the city by walking and buy some for new DVDs for home.
