Ding Dong! Avon Calling

November 29, 2007 2:44pm CST
Okay I know it's a bit silly really, Avon Ladies don't actually say that, or at least my new sales leader says they don't but i'm a tad suspicious on that score lol. I just joined avon today and I got all my stuff that I need to attack my friends and family with. I'm not doing streets or anything yet because I'm too busy with uni so it's just me and my mates really. I wanted to know if any other Avon ladies on here could kindly give me some tips on how to approach my mates about buying stuff from me. They know I'm doing Avon but I don't want to end up ramming it down their throats especially as they're as stressed as I am with exams and stuff. Also, does anyone have any tips for when i can go out on the streets dropping brochures off? is there anything that will make people want to buy avon from me? All replies totally appreciated!

I just joined Avon last month, as what the rep said as a social seller, I just joined for myself instead of having a rep come to my house, I am not the selling type of person but what the rep told me was that she buys some of the things from the bargain bin and when they are cheap and she sells them on Ebay and sometimes has a little party to sell them but makes a profit on them..

i actualy joined avon last year ,mainly to buy the products for myself.firstly i would just leave the brochures at work with few order forms and if people want to buy they will.buy yourself some bargain basement stuff and then take them into work and resell them cheap, your friends will think they are getting a bargain, and will be more inclined to buy other products from you as well.also drop brochures off at preschools, schools and other businesses, and regularly go back and see if any orders.i hope this helps.cheers sue

yes you can buy them cheap like lipstick samples etc.you can sell them for the price you get them for or a little bit extra,i think the main aim is to make your customers feel like they are getting a bargain and they will buy from you all the time.try giving a sample lipstick to customers free with every order, they put in.its a way to build up your customer base.cheers sue

Hi i have just joined Avon in the UK, and altough it does look easy i find after few days a bit hard to find people to order. We just moved in to a new country so dont have many friends here and i also tried leaving brochures in the mailboxes but people dont leave them outside for collecting so i already lost like 5 brochures. It is really annoying. I have heard some people do leaflets and dropp them off, about Avon and with their number if they want brochure, they call.rather than leave brochure itself and that attract people more.
