a business called Coastal? A woman called me 2 nights ago about this business. I am going to be hooked into a business/training call in a few minutes. I am interested in this business, but there is a steep start up fee. You are not just purchasing a business, but a huge vacation package that you can use the rest of your life. Is anyone in this business? If so, can you tell me your experience? If not, has anyone heard of it? Anyone interested in it? I am most likely going to sign up but not until after the holidays. So I can tell anyone about it and you can start saving up for the start-up cost also. The best part so far is that, the lowest you can make is $1000.

I'm not in this business and never have been, so I can't give you any insider opinions on it. However, I know some general information that can help you make your decision. I took the time to check out the opportunity, too, so I'm not saying this blindly. Also, I found some information about them specifically that you might want to check out. Coastal Vacations seems like a MLM (multi-level marketing) company. They say they're not, but they're pretty close. Also, most things I've seen identify them as MLM and not direct selling as they say they are. Most people (around 97%) don't succeed in MLM. There's companies like that have trouble trying to get people to invest $50 let alone $1000 or more. I think you'll have a really hard time finding interested people and end up spending a lot of money finding someone (if anyone) that is interested. Most people in this type of business may make 1 or 2 sales at best and then quit. Be sure to be great at sales. They may say that you don't have to be a great salesperson to be good at this, but every site that gave suggestions on succeeding at this mentioned that it's important. Also, don't expect any real profit for awhile. That's to be expected with any business. Also, remember that you have to make 2 personal sales before earning any money since the first 2 (plus yours) goes to your director. Personally, I wouldn't like that. Company Specific Articles/Info I found: Rip Off Report has a lot of complaints about them. You can find them here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults.asp?q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search!&q5=Coastal+Vacations+ AC Article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/424468/coastal_vacations_scam_or_home_business.html This mentions more on the product side rather than the business side: http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-I-Decided-Not-to-Join-Coastal-Vacations&id=829351 I hope this helps!

You have to market it as a vacation package. It's good for life. You can give them away or sell them. There is major potential. Plus you can get in right now for $100.

I would think twice. SOmetimes even when legitimate, those things end up not being exactly as we are seeing it and even our circumstances might change and we're stuck. A few years back my sister in law got into this vacation package thing. It made sense to her. She couldn't afford the life time option but she bought the five year option. Her reasoning had no faults. She would be able to spend her vacations in different countries in the world paying only the airplane fare and a very small hotel/vila fee.FOr example, I think at that time she could be in any of their hotels/vilas for 3 weeks with 6 people paying only $300 total. She could also let friends or family use it in her name and of course she could charge them something personally, so it seemed like a money making opportunity. She would have bonuses for using it and it sounded great. SO she got the option for 5 years and since she didn't have the 2 thousand dollars for its cost, she started paying something each month, it was a very small amount - I think $50 - so it seemed a gread opportunity for her. SHe started planning all the vacations she would like to take and thinking on the people that she could have using it in her name that she would get paid for. Unfortunately she never took even one. Her life changed right after she joined. She wasn't able to take any vacation time or even afford the low prices and she paid that thing for 5 years without ever using it or finding anyone to use it for her. What I"m saying is, it might sound good. I can even be legitimate, but anything that ties us up for a certain amount of time is sometimes not the best solution.
