Are you a bread lover..Does your meals include some sort of bread? If so what is your favorite type of bread? I like bread but I know it's not good for you to eat too much of it. If I had to say my favorite kind ..it would be the type that has everything in it..minus the kitchen sink;)

In our family, all are vegetarians. Our staple food is rice and due to influence of north India, we consume wheat flour and make chapatis etc. The bread and Buns are wesern concepts introduced by britishers. We do consume but not much. In a week one loaf of bread is consumed to make sandwiches.

Hi..what exactly are Chapatis? Are these rolls or some kind of bread? I know that rice is very popular in many countries..especially in the eastern countries. I really love rice..I prefer it to potatos..but like potatos or bread..the consumption of it has to be curtailed since it's a starch and harder to break down and digest in our bodies.

Vegetable spring rolls are different from chapathis. Chapatis (or rotis) are made from wheatflour, with water and salt to taste. After kneading, they are made into flat or round balls and then it is spread with the help of rollers and then baked. People from Punjab put these stuff directly on fireballs and consume. They eat 15 to 20 such rotis and this requries side dish, usually vegetable curry, sweet and sour vegetables etc. IT is popular length and breadth of India. It is used for breakfast, dinner as main item.

Hey fellow bread-lovers! Does bread last longer when you put it in the fridge? I'm used to my bread going bad before i can eat all of it b/c I lived alone. Any tips?

Hi littlefranciscan! haha..I guess, the kitchen sink will always be includeed. haha.. However, I am not really fond of bread because my regular diet consist of rice. I get enough carbohydrates from that already and i just eat bread when i won't have rice which is on very few occasions. Take care and have a nice day. :)

I am a big fan of bread, and I do eat a lot of it. Not nearly as much as the people in my husband's family, though! Now THEY can eat bread! LOL My favorite kind of bread is rye. I like the marbled rye. It's amazing to me how expensive bread is in the stores. I'm still trying to decide if I want to buy a bread maker so I can do it myself. Maybe I'll try some bread by hand today since it is supposed to be a rainy day. Thanks for the inspiration!
