Does your town have a dog that is the firemen's helper?

We don't here in Alaska, but I see the great dogs on the movies I know they must be in other states or countries in the world. if you know of a dog with your fire dept, do have any stories of what you seen that the dog or dogs have done? I would like to read them experiences.

I have not seen a firemen's dog before,but I do know the dogs which are the police's helpers.And there are many films discribing their life and the way they help people.It is very moving.You can see how loyal they are.They even will lose their life to rescue people.

thanks for adding your comment. when I asked this question I wasn't asking for everyone who's heard of towns that had them or they town is to small to have one. I wanted people who know of a dog that is a firehouse dog in their town. I know those police dogs are cool to. we don't have them up here in AK. Like I said I've seen the movies with them both in them. but we all know thats common.

No I live in a little town and we are lucky to even have a firehouse let along a fireman's dog. But I have always liked to get a dog for them because you learn a lot of stuff by looking and trusting the dog of what he is doing and saying through it's actions.
