I love this. I think this is the best and cutest discussion I have read yet. I know exactly what you mean. My daughter lives in another province and she texts me so often I have had to ask her not to send me so many. I get charged from my cell phone provider, 3 cents per text I read. I don't have free text messaging on my plan. I have asked her to email me instead. Or phone me, since she has a long distance plan on her land line.

I tell my daughter the same thing, we have more minutes than allotted free texts she can just call me and save me money, then she says she is in too much of a hurry to call so she just texts, I dont get that since finding all those letters so you can make the text takes more time besides I dont understand all those abreviations she uses anyway...

I have watched my daughter, when I was visiting her, and it amazes me how quick she is with those keys. I guess it's like typing, the more practice the faster and better you get at it.

Maybe you should put it to the telephone company maybe you could start a new trend, a good way for them to encourage business, hahahaha, they may pay you a million dollars for the idea, and pay Mylot as well .... :)

Wouldnt that be so cool, it will never fly though, they would lose a billion in revenue from charging kids just like my daughter ten cents to sent texts after they go over thier allotted free ones

I had to have all text messages blocked from my phone and all the phones on my plan because they are just way to expensive. I know that there are ways to get packages but I am to cheap. I will just send an email. I am not fast enough to type it all out any how. I am to old for all this.

Hello pastorkayte. It would be great if the phone company would pay us the way like we post discussions at Mylot.
