I know most people really enjoy the hoilday's and all. I do too I love being with family and friends.
But it also reminds me of all the people who are no longer with me. I miss them and then it seems like I just sink back into a depression. On top of the fact of money issues, price of gas, housing market down(my hubby is a carpenter.)
So what do you think? hoildays do the make you depressed?

I wish this was a joyful time of season for me, but it hasn't been for a long time. And it will even be harder for me this year, since my father passed in August. I think what gets me all out of kilter is the fact that Christmas is so commercialized and the true meaning of Christmas is hidden away is the reason I tend to get down in the dumps around this time of year.

I am truly sorry for your loss, and yes Christmas is more about presents now adays then the birth of Our Lord. But I do pray that somehow you find peace and happiness knowing He is always with you.

Not really. I always hate that things cost so much money and like last year I went to New York for NYE and I'd love to do that again this year or at least go SOMEWHERE but I just don't have any money to be able to do so. It sucks. but what I like about Christmas is the cheer and the atmosphere. You can't get that any other time of the year so it helps to keep my spirits up.

I'm a very depressed persona as it is and usually this is a bad time of the year for me but THIS year I've made it a point not to let it get to me. Yes, I'm missing my Dad like I do every year since he's been gone and I wish I could be with my daughter and grandson who live in CA but I'm focusing on the good things that are happening in my life and making the best of every day.
