Well Minnesota took a big hit today with snow and sleet...freezing rain and some other things too unusual to name. From early this afternoon I have been hearing the buzzing of the snowmobilers go by my house. Whizzing up and down the street, having a blast I am sure! I know the noise bothers some people and they on occasion do cut across my back yard but since it's all frozen over I don't mind. With the exception of if they got hurt going over the curbs....anyway...it noise bothers some people but to me it's just someone having fun. Do you have something like this that irritates you? Or do you just listen to someone else having a good time?

We are having a sleet storm right now. LOL there are no snowmobiles around here. When it snows, the road at the local library is blocked off so kids can sleigh ride. It is a great hang out for the youth. There are many homes there.

Well I am in a fairly good sized city. For snowmobilers to be on my yard or the streets I need about 3 feet of snow. HAHAHA! 8 inches here! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well...we had something yesterday...not sure what it was. The guy came to clean the driveway and couldn't get through it with a snowblower so asked me not to leave until they got a bobcat over here....He just couldn't move it at all! I hear that right now he just left and the drive is cleaned out....I might have to go shopping later! LOL

The closet thing that I like but others don't is the sound of thunderstorms. It just thrills me. I could sit and watch and listen to a thunderstorm.

I live in Indiana and the saying around here is "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change". Boy are we seeing that now. Yesterday we finally got some winter weather with some freezing rain. I went to watch my 9 year old grandson play in a basketball game. When we came out everything had changed to ice. My son was walking in front of us and slipped and fell on an icy patch and before he could get up and warn us my grandson slipped and fell on the same patch. We were all laughing hysterically (why is it we laugh when other people fall?) Well Bob and my DIL and I were all holding on to each other to keep from falling. When we finally made it to the cars they were covered in ice. Had a heck of a time getting it off the windshields. Ok now for the change.--- Today the temperature is about 55 degrees and we are supposed to have serious thunder storms this afternoon with damaging winds. YUCK. Then starting tomorrow we are supposed to have snow flurries every day for the rest of the week. Like I said typical for Indiana. We have been hearing a lot chainsaws as people including us are cutting wood to burn for heating this winter. We have had fires in the fireplace every evening this past week. It is finally winter and time for Santa (:
