How many responses you expect when you start a discussion?

If I start a discussion, I usually think that there won't be any responses so that if none show up, I don't get disappointed and if I do get a response or two then It's a nice surprise. Usually I will get one or two responses and I can get into a nice discussion about the topic I posted but occasionally I won't get a single one but I won't get upset over it because I know that at some point, I will post something that a few people will respond to and it all balances out. Thats just my two cents.

before, i'm expecting much responses because i believe that the discussions i wrote is interesting and it catches someones attention..but now, i'm not that really active in making discussions..but still there are responses still coming into my started discussions..thanks in advance if you are interested in making your response..have a nice day..
