When it comes to polygamous marriages, only Afircans and those of the Islamic Faith feature sharply. It leaves me wondering, is polygamy accepeted in the west by law? Are there any Europeans with two wives or more who are officially introduced to the public? I once was invited to a local function by a community near my village, then it came to introductions, one man had 6 wives and he had a big sense of importance introducing them one by one. Can this happen in America or Italy?

I dont think thats ever going to happen.Well its really hard to tell if polygamy is good or bad.But the main reason that it doesnt exist in these countries is cos of the fact that Christianity does not allow polygamy. These countries having a majority of the population as Christians have made polygamy illegal.Otherwise maybe it would have been legal.
