Anyone else having major problems w/ DirecTV?

I keep seeing Direct TV move center comercials how they pay one winner's rent for a year for free and it gets me so irate. I moved to a new apartment about a month and a half ago. DirecTV MISSED SEVEN STRAIGHT INSTLLATION APPOINTMENTS. At first the installer did not have the proper receiver, the next guy had the wrong address on his work order and it continued on and on for 2+ weeks.
I called DTV and was hold one day for hours and cancelled service. Then they call back and apologize and PROMISE all sorts of bill credits. So I let them install and yes the eighth time was the charm, but surprisingly, I get my bill and none of my credits are in there, ALSO, my credits for the time I have no TV at all was inputed improperly so I am now on the verge of cancelling again.
Is it just me or is DirecTV messing up everywhere?

We had a bad experience with Direct tv as well. We had ours installed in the winter (no leaves on the trees). they charged us for a pole. No they did not put it on the roof. We had pretty good reception for almost 5 months. The leaves grew back on the trees and whamo no more tv. My daughter and her cousin are very close. But they live 1300 miles apart. occasionally they like to get on the phone with one another and watch the same program..Our tv was out. We had techs out 2 or 3 times before they honestly told us we weren't going to get reception that we wanted. We are back with cable. Despite the problems there, we will stay with them.
