Would you want to be king or queen of the world?

Assuming there were actually a real job of being king or queen of the world, I would not want it. Too much responsibility. Too many countries squabling over land rights and disputes. Too many wars. Too many differences of opinions.
I wouldn't even want to be queen of a very small town. I've got enough issues to deal with in my own little queendom to worry about other people's problems.
And, I suppose if there were such a job as king of the world, there would be no vacations, either. Who would step in to fill your shoes while you were skiing the slopes or sunning yourself on the beach.
So, what do you think? Would you want to be king or queen of the world? Assuming such a job were really available.

Hello dear beauty queen. To begin with this response, I have to say that I love your username very much and I think that you are a queen alreay, but also an American beauty, so sweet a username. I just cannot help loving the name and I think that you are a queen in some sense, at least in your own family. I am sure that your king is very happy to have possessed my dear beauty queen as his partner.
Ok, let me come to point of your topic.
I don't think that I would be happy to be a king even if there were such a job to be offered to me. I would still quit it like what you said in the discussion. I don't think that I am good at managing all the stuff and I would surely make it a mess as I don't think that I am ever that capable in management. I am just happy to king of my family and my wife to be queen of the family. That is enough for me. lol

I would not want to be queen. It is too much responsibility and too many problems. You would have so much to worry about, and not enjoy being queen.

You would think being queen would be a lot of fun, but it's a real job. No fun at all. You are right about that. I wonder what I would do if I were queen. Definitely, there would be fewer wars and less hunger in the lands. I am not sure how to accomplish such a lofty goal.

The very sad part is, I could only see myself as king of the world if I took more of a hardline Machiavellian type of approach. Other than that, I couldn't be king of the world or anything. Too much to keep track of and way too much work. Well...maybe I could adopt an elitist way of doing things. Doing no work, acquiring all the wealth, while the masses toil... Nah, couldn't do that either. I could see that going awry easily.

Responsibility? ha! Look at those who are ruling the world today... for example Mr. Bush. I don't think that it can be much worse than that. Although I wouldn't like to rule the world either. Probably I would be assasined in the time of one week or something like that, hehe. Cheers and happy myloting.
