Every business has to make money, by selling the product or services and by being compatitive. There are different ways to improve the business effectiveness and resources utilization. People are the most valuable resources of every business. People oriented management is trying to get more from the human resources by smart talents management, potential increase, people rotation, and compensation management. It is not just money and benefits, it is also attitude towards every employee as the most valuable asset and efforts to keep this asset in the company. For example, one of the executives, when he was asked what is a meaning for diversity for him, answered: Our accountant has to pick up his kid from day care at 5pm, so we never schedule any meetings after 4pm (not exact citation). Unfortunately, the big corporation has objective difficulties to implement the theory on practice. It is much easier to do for small private firms.

Thank you for your wonderful response. Just as you said,'People are the most valuable resource of every business',and 'the big corporation has objective difficulties to implement the theory on practice.' It's so difficult for me. And,how can we 'get more from the human resource', by managemeng system or by intercoursing with the employees,or by understanding their opinion. I think it is a complex system for every one. Hope for your help.

It is hard to give the brief overview of the topic that should be occupying the entire textbook. Company could declare the best people-oriented policy, but it is not supported by middle and low management, it will be nice just on paper. Like, in the Soviet Union, the constitution was the most democratic document in the world. The problem was, as nobody really cared of what is written there. Any manager is basing his day-to-day decision making on the personal frames of reference and the company policy. So, if the manager does not have the people-oriented frame of reference, he will silently jeopardize changes in the company overall climate. So, this process is very slow, and should be consistent to succeed.

There'a much difference between eastern world and western world. Many corporations in eastasia, such as Japan,Korea, singapore,China,Tailand,Hongkong, etc, are family-owned.In developed countries, mordern business have been developing for about 300 years. Most have a ingelligible concept on people-oriented management. But even though,no one can give a comprehensive solution.
