For me, I rather choose to go back during my childhood days because those days I felt no pain.... you?

I think childhood is generally the funnest time in life, but for me the mostintersting may be adolescence.

We human beings are funny. When we were younger, we can't wait to get older. "So that I can do whatever I want!" "So that my parents would stop telling me what to do!" "So that I could be independent." These are just some of the reasons we hear from children. I'm sure that during our childhood, we once dreamed of waking up one morning already an adult. Now here comes the funny part. When we get older, at some point in our lives, we want to get back to our childhood years. Hahaha! But we can't blame ourselves. As we get older, life becomes more complicated. There are too many things that make it complicated. However, the reality is that life is not complicated. It's our actions that complicate it. Life is simple. Very, very simple. Have we seen a child complaining about child? Not very much. Because for them, life is just simple. When you open something, close it. When you borrow something return it. It's either a yes or a no. But when we grow up, we tend to think, to rationalize. This complicates life. This is for me the reason why a lot of grown-ups want to get back to their childhood years. As for me, I take life by the moment. Childhood is part of my past. If I keep on dwelling on it, dreaming of going back to where I was, then how will I be able to move forward? How will I grow as an individual? ;D

When life gets stressful as it often does, I do find myself looking back at happy childhood moments. It's not even that I didn't feel no pain because I did. A mother's touch could often make the pain go away and now I have to be the mother and help my children. It is very hard to pretend like nothing is wrong so the kids never have to worry about anything. I admire my mom a lot more now that I'm a mother myself!

Childhood is the most boreing time of life because you do not feel! You have to feel all feelings in order to grow as a human being. How do you learn empathy until you have felt pain? How can you help someone else through a time of trouble until you have experienced trouble yourself? Childhood is the selfish time of life. During the rest of life, you learn to give of yourself as well as receive.
