I have to say it was the best experience for me and i enjoyed myself so much even though it was not a holiday trip and i had not much to spend on this trip.. My fiance was going on a business trip and i accompanied him, it was the first time for me and because i just love chinese and malaysian food i found everything so amazingly fantastic, the decor the street rules and the awesome stall foods and ofcourse the promotions for Christmas* I love the way they treat people and smile everytime u enter a store or a cab and also when they give u back yr change it is always with both hands never with one. We stayed at Spottiswood Park Road and it was easy to get to places from there. The one and only thing that i found very difficult and actually hard was finding a cab when u need it the most!!!! But again if u called the toll free they make sure the cab reaches u wherever u are within 10 mins I am so taken by the place that i would love to spend all my vaccation there every year.. I am presently staying in India and am finding it hard to forget the good times i had in Singapore, it was just 5 days but it made a difference.. Let me know hoe u feel about the place and if you have had any good or bad experiences i'd love to know..

I've been to Singapore 2 times. The first time I went to Singapore, I stayed there for 6 months as attached casual worker. At first, I felt homesick and when I get really sick the clinic have a very long line of queue and the doctor plus the medicine are so expensive.. However when I find my self comfortable with the situation, I started to like the country, everything are well organized and it is so clean as well. I love Boat Quay for eating at night and I love walking around in Suntec City and I love Orchard Road during Christmas with all the light. The 2nd time I went to Singapore is only for visiting friends and visiting the country I missed when I leave after my attachment is finished. I still love the country and the cleanlines, I wish my contry could be as clean as Singapore...

People are really friendly. That is what my mom said while she visited me last time. I hope and pray you will be able to make it to Singapore soon.

Seriously, i am considering settling there after my recent visit atleast for a while till i can think clearly about where i'd like to buy a property.. I think i may find a solution once i stay for a while in singapore and all that hustle bustle and the fast life and technology will do me good after living in the hill station i am in for 2 years now..Giggles, not that i am complaining, i think the grass is always greener on the other side.. Good luck to you too my dear*

I have been to sri lanka as well, and it was an experience the people are so hospitable and make you feel at home.. But when it comes to singapore i have to say it's worth having a holiday there cos it makes you feel that you've spent and got something memorable out of it.. And the young generation....wow, their dressing sense and the way they carry themselves really makes you want to try out some cool trends**

I really like Singapore. My first trip there was in 1994 on my way around the world. I flew into there from Darwin, then when over to Indonesia and Malaysia for some adventure. Then when I was on the East coast of Malaysia I had an accident falling down a drain. After a few days there I got a taxi to the border. Then I got another taxi into the center of Singapore. I was on crutches and I had a large backpack that I was struggling with. A kind person helped me to the guest house I was staying in. My poorly leg got a bit better and so I was able to explore Singapore a bit. I got a lovely photo taken by the the waters edge. I went to an pretend island with golden sand and waving palm trees. Next stop was my home after a fantastic years adventure. Then my second trip to Singapore was in 2000, on my way home from a trip to Australia. I went the bird gardens and had a day out at the national park on the outskirts. There were some lovely walking trails and many monkeys in the area. There was a sign saying there was a fine for feeding the monkeys. I did some shopping as well. The international airport is one of the best in the world, complete with a roof top sort of garden.

i was in singapore many years ago.i really loved it.we only had 3 days there but they were fantastic.a group of us hired a taxi for the day which took us to all the tourist spots and i think it only cost us a few dollars in those days.the shopping was great, they had night markets and stalls so you could be out and about all day long.if i knew all about the shopping earlier i would have stayed longer

It is cheap in some ways mainly the food and it is so safe at night too, a girl can walk all alone at midnight and still be safe another of the things i like about singapore
