Drugs and Depression

I have a friend who has a drug problem. Mostly Cocaine. He is determined to stop the drugs and turn his life around but will not go into rehab or accept that he probably has depression too. He is planning on moving towns and going "cold turkey". I'm really worried about this and the effects this is going to have on his body and his mind. Any advice?
