have you ever heard of the pizza diet?

I don't really think a person can lose weight healthily by eating pizza. It just sounds like they're starving themselves and losing weight that way. Don't get me wrong, I love pizza, but the fact of the matter is, it's not that healthy. Sure you can incorporate all the main food groups into it, but pizza is generally greasy and contains lots of cheese which means lots of calories. It just seems more logical to eat proper meals of healthy food rather than eat junk food and starve yourself. The "healthy" way to diet is to eat four well-portioned, nutritious and balanced meal a day accompanied by proper hydration and regular exercise.

I think when they say pizza, I don't always believe your littally eating a pizza thats full of grease and the other toppings. There such thing as a fruit pizza, and what about homemade pizza with veg's and low fat cheese and you pick the tomato sauce. I am sure that the pizza diet do consist of eating a pizza from the resteraunts or the stores. What do you think?

I used to go to a particular pizza shop and the lady there used to say their pizza's were the best food for people on diets, they had a secret recipe for the base and with the toppings they were actually good for you. So I guess it a;; depends what you put on them, I would think with the right toppings pizzas should be very good for you anyway as nothing is over cooked which is good for you.

What is the size of the slices of the pizzas? If it big enough I think it can't lose a weight! LOL. But its great to hear that pizzas are now part in dieting: I love to eat pizza. I can eat 4 big slices! LOL

I don't think its the size that matters. Its whats the toppings on the pizza that matters. and the article says 2 slices a day. I don't think I would go on this diet I am kinda on the blood type diet. I believe its a real diet. Pizza to me and my son is just a treat once in a while. Though I am going to make us a homemade one today with a store bought crust hoping It will be cheaper than buying a $7. store bought frozen pizza and it will be a little heather.
