I don't think myLot is what it used to be.

No, you're not wrong. There are a lot or people who have left, but from time to time you find some old friends just drop in, and this is good. I'm one of those who don't log on for a time,but do come back. There are some contributors whose input I miss also.

Youa re right, i am not sayign the mylot is not what it used to be, but you are right about that a lot of people get somewhere else. they probably find other site where to post and also i know many people went to yuwie. Also mylot earning is still lower and lower,, so i think that migth be reason why so many people left, even if many are sayign they are not here for money, btu just for socializing.

I think some have just lost interest. The pay is a little less and takes longer to reach payout. Some have had altercations with others and just left. There are alot of new people that are very nice. Some have just found other things to do. Hope you stick around, too.

Stephanie, I think some come for a reason and some a season. When I first came it was for the "big bucks" that I was going to earn. Guess what? I didn't earn big bucks, but I started forming friendships. That is why I stayed. You are much younger than I, but most of the friends that I have sort of fit into one of my main "interest" categories - either pagan, cooking/baking, work from home, or disabled. As for you, your peers would be more people that probably are in the work force and for some reason were off for a period of time (perhaps a birth), and then had to return to their job. When I find that a lot of my "old" friends have not been posting for quite awhile, I go to my friends list, check out how long it has been since they have visited MyLot and if it is 6 months or longer I delete them. My next step is to go to "hot topics" and "new user discussions" and make new friends there. I am so happy to be your new friend.~Donna

Oh yea? Oh yea. The earnings are really low nowadays so many have migrated or just lost interest. Stay cool lol.:P

I am a newbie here but I have read a lot of discussions just like this one. I guess it's like anything else, the novelty wears off. Or maybe mylot is getting cheaper in paying, as I read. Or maybe they are deleting a lot of discussions so people are getting fed up, I've read. Or maybe people are getting nasty, as anyone can sign up, I've read. Or maybe people are marking others with a lot of negatives, this is happening to me. I have gone from a 10 with a 99/100 to a 9 with a 89/100 and I don't know why, other than I have maybe insulted someone, not intentionaly, and that person is going around a marking my discussions and responses with a negative, to get back at me. This might be the reason I would leave mylot. I signed up to make some friends and have fun, but it isn't so much fun when people get nasty.

It just seems like everybody left at once and also that there aren't too many interesting discussions going on. Interesting to me. It has taken me over 4 months to make payout and I still haven't done it. Not that the money matters, it is just to make a point. I can't find anything to discuss and they seem to be paying less than before. Also, I am recently addicted to Webkinz!

I've been here almost 10 months so I'm not exactly an "old" member but have been here for quite awhile. Some of the "old" members just left as happens in forums...life happens and they move on to other things. Some left because of some problems with deletions and "negative raters", others were banned...some justly some not.
