ja.....ja Your topic looks being brought up for Chinese specially. Labour law is a hot topic in the past days and will last this year. There is no fault of this law.We need this law.But the problem is that HOW TO ENSURE IT APPLIED CORRECTLY AND STRICTLY. Obviously,Chian gov failed at this point.we are looking forward the next step of this law.

wow, yeah,I guess you must be a Chinese, haha! Some days ago,our company reduced the stafftrimmer, though it was not too much but we know they wanted to comply with the new Labour Law and wanted to reduce the responsibility to the old employee. We may blame them, but if oneday we are the boss maybe we also will do this. It's hard to explain this.

My employer is wonderful and has the best interest of his employees as a priority...but I am blessed in that and am also in the minority...most large corporations are into their business for profit only and rarely consider the rights and needs of the employee. I feel labor contracts are extremely important and in most cases without a labor contract to protect the health and safety as well as the wage and benefit portions of the employees life, most employees would not get a fair shake. If you have a union to stand up for you, the corporation has to toe the line...they can be found in violation of labor laws and have to pay fines and penalties. There are so many companies that will overwork and underpay their employees and actually expect them to do things that are completely unsafe and down right life threatening....I have belonged to a union for 25 + years and I have excellent healthcare benefits...which are a union negotiated benefit...my employer is a small corporation and pays us all above scale and is very generous and understanding to us all...A friend of mine just lost her job after 18 years of service because she does not have a labor contract/union representation and her boss's nephew wanted her job..so they let her go and there is nothing she can do..on a private level I would definitely have a contract between myself and my employer if I wasn't represented by a union!!!

Thank you very much for your comment. I think you are a lucky one as a employee. My employer seldome consider our rights, just do what he wants to do,so we feel much press in this company.
