The only reason I alter my diet is for the IBS connected with the fibromyalgia. I have found that eating high alkalide fruits and probiotic yogurt are helpful, but I still have some bad moments especially if I eat cream sauces. I do take the supplements of magnesium/calcium/D and magnesium with malic acid (Mag-Citrate). Magnesium aids in over 300 bodily functions and should be taken in combination with Calcium. I was taking 3 Cal/Mag/D's a day when I suddenly got an increase in my creatinine levels. I cut back on the Calcium and then stopped taking it completely. Then I became constipated so I have gone back to taking 2 a day. Magnesium with Malic Acid does help with the pain but I don't think there is anything that will make it go away completely. I learn to cope, know my limitations and pace myself. Exercise does help as long as I don't overdo.
