I have a lot of scrapbooks I've made the past few years. Like you, I have shoeboxes full! I made one with my grandson's first year of life. I also have made one about each of my relatives that have passed on. It's a nice way to commemorate their life and to remember them and some of the things they did along the way. I try and set aside one night a month just to work on scrapbooking, otherwise I don't get a lot done. I figure if I'm going to get all the stuff out, I might as well make a night of it. I think it's a lot of fun, and a nice way to show off those special pictures! Not everything in my shoeboxes will go into a scrapbook, just some of the favorite pictures.

Yes, there is a problem with dragging everything out...I hate that it takes me forever.

I got into scrapbooking after both my parents passed away and my brothers gave me all the pictures. I made one of my parents to have for the kids when they got older. It also helped me with the healing process. Now, I'm hooked and I have started three more. It's highly addictive.

I always mean to get around to scrapbooking... but I never do. And I can never seem to bring myself to cut up pictures. So I think I might just start compiling picture albums instead.

you need to get double prints...then you use the cute little frames for the scrappbooking where you don't have to cute it, the print can just go in the photo album.
