which is better for shopping - Ebay or Amazon?

hello friends i have heard a lot about Ebay and i am using it.It looks like Ebay is everybody's favourite but recently i have heard about another site Amazon.com which is also a good spot for shopping, i have not joined it but i am planning to. so could you please tell me which is best among these two?
and if you know any other site please do mention it.

I think they are both good. I use both of them. If I am searching to buy something, I check eBay first and then check Amazon. That way, I'm sure I am getting the best deal. There are other sites out there but, eBay and Amazon have the best buyer protection. On the other sites, you can't always be sure you are going to get what you paid for.

Well i love ebay and i have used it for a long time.i must admit though that I have never used Amazon.I guess it wouldnt hurt to register in both and to buy or sell depending on the offer you get.

Amazon is good for books, dvds and music cds, but I prefer eBay as you stand a good chance of getting a bargain with their auctions

Ilike amazon because you can buy things new and use from half the price you would in stores, and you don't have to go far to get it. ebay is nice too but I don't like how you bet on stuff, sometimes you can endup paying tiwce as much as you set out to do.

when it comes to online shopping i definitely prefer ebay. i guess i can't say why other than that it's what i've always used. i've never purchased anything off of amazon and have bought more stuff than i can remember off of ebay over the years.

I always use Amazon to buy books ,maybe some other things .In China ,i believe there are more people using taobao than the ones using Ebay.Taobao is our main shopping site.

I love ebay. I seem to find better deals at ebay. I have shopped at amazon but rarely do i find the good deals. I will always shop at ebay. as is I watching some items and hope to win a dvd tonight for $.99 because only one person as bidded. I have learned don't bid till the last mins and you time it write you win. I also like shopping at my non bid website half.com I love their deals must of the time.

im an ebay user ever since. i've bought and sold quite a number of items on local ebay. i don't know much about amazon but i think its not really used here in my country. so ebay for me is much better.

I have used both. It seems like you can get better prices on ebay. I don't use amazon very often I think I have used it maybe twice.
