Wisconsin Legislature Prove Their Lack of Importance

Once again the legislators in Madison, WI prove that they just aren't that important. I mean, if they had some pressing bit of legalizing to do, they'd be doing it, right? Instead, they are spending their lasest session on such pressing state business as: Should the big, green tree, with lights and decorations all over it, on display in the rotunda of the Capital Building be called a "Christmas Tree" or "Holiday Tree". Apparently they are worried that "Christmas" might offend people but "Holy Day" won't. ;~D Another important issue that has our elected officials wagging their tongue is whether or not they should impeach President Bush. I guess it never occured to the pompous blowhards that, even if there were reasons to impeach Prs. Bush, there's nothing in their job description, or the Constitution (State or US) that gives them authority to do it. Apparently all is well in the great state of Wisconsin, since our legislature apparently has nothing to do. What a waste of paychecks!

You are correct, nothing in the Constitution allows any state government to begin or consider impeachment proceedings against the president. Any opinion that any government body has on our religious holidays is in violation of the separation of church and state, because the government cannot make any laws for or against religion.... including what to call a Christmas Tree.

True! And government officials who waste time on these issues are stealing from the taxpayers because they aren't earning their paycheck.
