Well if the woman is home all day and the man is out working the woman should do the house cleaning. But on weekends the husband can help out too. Its only fair. If both husband and wife are both working then they should share the work completely.

If women can walk shoulder to shoulder with man and can do all kinds of outdoor jobs as effecently as men can do, then why man should not learn some of the housework, which is for his benefit too. The world is changing, and we must come out of those arthodox old traditions where women was foced to be responsible for all house work. To tell you the truth, managing all house jobs is very hard and never ending job. Women is already bearing all the pains and problems while giving birth to children and to add to that all kinds of house work...don't you think from the point of view of humanity...man should come forward and give a helping hand to this weak overburden women, who can be your mother or sister or wife or daughter.........why should men feel it below thier dignity to help his loved ones.......I think only those men who treat women equally and help her in all kinds of work are really human beings, the rest can be counted in the catorgory of lazy animals.....lol

I think it should be equal, and I'm lucky because my s/o feels that way too. Just yesterday, he was off and I worked, I came home from work to find him doing the dishes. I work seasonal work for the forestry service, so soon my leave time will begin, from Dec 22nd to March 17th, then I'll take on the housework for the most part, I feel it only fair, since he will be going to work and I'll be staying home for those months. But, when we are both putting in 40 hr weeks he always helps out, and in the Spring is our busy time with brush fires, so there will be times that I put in more than 40 hours a week.
