I got so mad!

back in Oct. I got a letter saying my garbage bill was over due and put in their collection area. So I called them and paid the bill (guess I missed it when I was in the hospital) any way a few days latter checking my bank staement I saw where I was charged 2 times for the same bill. So I called them again and told them I wasnt paying 2 times for the same thing well it took all day long but the company put my money back!. A few days ago I got the bill like i am surpose to do and find that it hadnt been PAID! So I went to my bank account to look for the payments and I could find nonether (both palces had put money back!) So I called them again and told them what happened and that I had a confirmation no for the payment took them 4 hours to call me back. They didnt know why both had put the money back but I still owed the $74.02 so I paid it again! and now I still owe another bill grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. and the women told me that since I had paid it one and they screwed up the person at garbage place was crediting me $3 whole dollar for payiong it as that was the late fee. Wasnt that generous of them lol. the thing was my bank account was getting screwed up by this for I thought it had been paid. and Of cource I have to pay the next bill that is due now. They could have gave me that for all the hassle they had put me thru dont ya think? What would you do?

Hey LKo, I think they should have gave you more than a $3.00 credit since it was the companies mistake they should have credited you for that month.I'd switch garbage companies or start hauling my own trash to the dump (I haul my own now after a similar situation w/ my garbage collector) +'s |:)

we get a fine if we dump our own and we only have one garbage company here. Well it is paid now they can stop hollering! thanks for your input

That's ust crazy and incompetant. You should definitely get a freebie. It's a bit spookie too cos something similar happened to me the other day. A company I have an on-line account with sent me the usual email alert for specials. One was for free postage on any item purchsed plus a bottle of $50 perfume. I thought"Hey! Great!" and retrieved the special code and ordered some digital bathroom scales. I paid through PayPal. For some reason, they used my old bank account info...that account is now closed so of course the bank said they couldn't do it so paypal reversed the transaction and sent me an email telling me to get in touch with my bank. I emailed Paypal and told them they had used the wrong account details and that my new account had been verified and all. I didn't hear back. I checked my account and the proper bank details are there so I emailed them again and asked them why they did what they did. Still haven't heard back. I've also emailed the company and asked them if i can still have the promotional deal and I'm waiting to hear back from them. As for what would I do...I'd ask them if I could pay half now and half in a few days/weeks as your account is now out of wack because you thought the bill was paid.

well I hope you got yours straightened out as I have done now I think I owe for the next 3 months lol due again but I can keep up with it now I hope!

I have just open an mail from my electrical firm and it´s a bill, on this bill they stated that I must pay 50 sek because due to late date. However, I think that is strange, because I have not got a bill earlier. The thing is I have not got a bill from them since I moved to another apartment almost a year ago this month. And now they charge me for paying to late.....when they have not sent me a bill earlier, that is something. I will call them up tomorrow morning to ask what is going on here. The most strangest thing is I should have had bills from December last year and to day, but I got my first bill today......Some firms do not know how to behave towards their customers.....there is no other explanation. Have a great evening.

sure hopoe you get yours straightened out with your satisfaction . I think they must have passed ya by when the bills came out. Let us know how ya do ok? and they should be explaining very very good why no other bilhad been sent!

I made the call today, and they was so sorry. The one who are to blame is the landlord of my apartment. They have not sent the movement of my apartment. The thing is I did not have to do this, it was my landlord who should have done it. So they are to blame for not letting me get a bill for almost a year. I do not have to pay for those 50 sek, they will send me a new bill with the right amount of payment. I believe the landlord have made a mistake and tried to blame the due to late date on me. It is not my job to change the address to my electrical company since I have the electric as a part of my rent bill. Thank you for responding.

I would have done the same thing man them people sure know how to get your blood pressure up you would think that with all the computer that they have and all they have to do is puch a button to find out what is going on they could get it right but I guess not

first of all why are you paying for garbage to be picked up? where i live they dont charge for gabage pick up. but like with any bill if they make a mistake they want to put on you as if you did it and its not right. if it was me i would take them to small claims court. it may be alot of hassle but you will feel well satisfied when you are done with them.

well when you have a town with over 2 million people in it they charge ya. I wouldnt win but I do have it all straightened out now just made me mad that I had 2 charges for same thing and then they both put it back so I had to dig money up again to get it al paid for and done with!

I think that I would sit down and write a letter to the person in charge. Explain what had happened and that you are not satisfied with the way it was handled. It might do better than just talking to someone on the phone.

Yeah I would be mad too!! lol I never understand why things like that happen ... and it happens more often that not It is always annoying to keep on having to double check everything just because they messed up somewhere and the customer is always the one ending up having to "solve the problem" ... because we need the service ... that's not fair... but I guess life is not fair I feel for you and hope you get things fixed soon

I would be mad as well. They are lucky that their taking out the amount twice did not overdraw your account and cause other things to bounce. If that were to happen then they should be responsible for any bank fees. I hope it is all straightened out now. What a mess.

I am sure that this must be frustrating. I always get a confirmation number when I do any transactoin like that. I have found that when something like this happens I get much better results when I am very nice and friendly to the person....even though it aggrevates me! Good luck on getting this situation all fixed.
