I enjoy snuggling up with a good book as well. I just haven't been able to get into the whole online book thing. I would much rather read at my own pace when I want and that is usually around bedtime. I curl up with a good book and read until I feel tired then shut off the light and go to sleep. Some of my fav authors are James Patterson, Jackie Collins, Sylvia Browne, Anne Rice.

I would much rather snuggle down with a good book rather than strain my eyes staring at a screen. I love reading books by Terry Pratchett, he is a superb comic writer. I also enjoy fantasy novels by Anne McCaffrey, I can get lost in her worlds.

As it is working on several sites and forums take away my time and watching computers for longer hours create some problms to my eyes. Therefore I do not like to read online books, though practically most important, oldest and latest books are available online. To take the print outs and read, if they are in PDF format, the font size is small for me to read. Therefore, I prfer to buy the books from bookshop and read. I mostly like short stories preferably a collection, condensed books of readers digest, personality development books, leadership inspirational books, some good story books recommended by critics in the newspapers.

Good morning! I'm more of a "if I could I would read..." I would love to dive into a good book; but I get caught up with TV and the stresses of life that I lose interest.

I was an avid reader of real books, but nowadays I spend too much time on the computer, and now I am trying to set up some blogs, so I am reading a lot of stuff on other blogs and discussion forums. I cannot stand online books, or ebooks as they're called. I just can't connect with the material on the screen. With paper that you can touch, you somehow feel the dynamic between yourself and the author.

You are so correct there!... when i read on my couch with my book its like as im readin it i can see it in my head everything that goes on and it makes me feel apart of the book.. its really weird but i live it!. i use my books as an escape from this worl, when things are hectic i just sit and read and when im done things are alittle bit better im not so stressed.. because of this my 2 year old daughter is ALWAYS reading.. so i guess addiction all the time doesnt really hurt your kids.LOL~ when i am online and tring to read an "e-book" its blank for me.

I've been an avid reader pretty much since childhood..I love to read whether its a textbook or reference book, a classic or a horror..Reading is ONE of my fav pasttimes actually...I DO have books that I've gotten online but I dont read them at the computer, I'll usually print them off and read them in comfort LOL..My fav genres would be horror, classic horror/gothic, self help, any well written psychology/abnormal psychology/criminology/astrology/numerology and various other "ology" type books LOL..Some of my fav authors would have to be (in no specific order) FICTION Clive Barker H.P Lovecraft Christopher Moore E.A Poe Dean Koontz Stephen King J.R Ward Jhonen Vasquez Roman Dirge just to name a few LOL NONFICTION Lama Surya Das Ted Andrews Jamie Samms Laura Davis Pamala Ball

I download lots of e-books but never read them. Instead, I'd still end up buying the paperback versions of the books I already have a copy of in my hard drive. I find it hard to read in front of the computer. I favor the old fashion mode of reading on a couch with a cup of coffee. With regards to the books I read, I like books that are in a way philosophical and keeps me wondering. I'm not a big fan of suspense and romance novels which are predominant in the market. I like classics and even if I get lost in the English, I still prefer reading them.
