Why in the world do the have to make them cost so much. Its just not right. I understand they want to make money and all but come on now. Parents should be able to buy theye child a gift with out breaking the bank and the same goes for grandparents, santa, and simple anyone that buys them. And then on top of it they make half them crappy , cheap or not safe. Why if your going to charge an arm and a leg in the frist place can you at least make it with some pride. I think if they are going to basicly keep pocketing more the half the price they should be made to donate some of it to help people. And I really mean help not just to anyone for anything. I mean like to st jude, and the march of dimes, or vets from the wars that are forgotten about. What do you think

There is a way to beat them. Don't buy their items. Wait until after christmas or buy the toys during an off year season. You could look up prices for toys online. I say big corporations would cut corners and raise prices just so their stock don't drop.

Hi my friend. I think it's a way to love their children for parents. The parents will give everything to their children what they want. But it's not right. If parents love their children like this,it would be bad for their children in the future. What is the right way to teach children? Good luck.

I agree that it is a problem. Too many toys are expensive (which you wouldn't mind if they were of good quality) but are also often shoddily made usually in China or somewhere similar. Unfortunately it is about profit because they are made in those countries so that they don't have to pay the workers very much which is a shame.

The costs of toys are really rising and along with this is the increasing number of recalls being made by what used to be reputable companies in the toy business. Like you, I don't mind paying a few more bucks as long as the safety of the child is guaranteed but I guess that's not longer the case. Before heading out to buy toys for Christmas gifts, research about the recalled models so we could avoid buying them. Good luck on your Christmas shopping and happy holidays!

I totally agree with you! It isnt right to sell them at high prices. This way we are kinda forced to buy lower quality toys, that might even be dangerous for kids. The paint might be toxic, or it might contain small pieces, etc. But like everything sold nowadays, they want to make maximum money at minimum time. And they dont care for kids safety.Worse is that kids cant understand this, and it breaks your heart to seee them want sth but you cant buy that for them.

i totally agree with you. Entering a toy shop with your kid has literally become a nightmare these days. moreover, the demands of children have grown due to peer pressure and it is very important to teach them the value of hard earned money right from the begining.

you should probably look at the news more often because the cost of goods all over the world is increasing and yeah this means toys, food, clothes etc... the value of the U.S dollar is falling making things even worst because countries from the rest of the world for example England can afford to buy goods from America for a cheap price. and to add to it the cost of oil is also increasing. keep that in mind next time you go Christmas shopping.

i think you are absolutely right. The cost of toys are increasing with no bounds. I have also noticed it lately. i went to buy some toys for my 3 yr old niece. But my GOD, they were so pricy taht it was really difficult for me to buy her some nice ones. I know they are into business, but it can't be so haevy priced.

yes the cost is goin up because the toy companies are doing a lot of research to make the toys safe ... actually people should buy those toys which will increase the kids mental power ... Regards Harry

The best way to combat the high cost of toys is to buy fewer toys. Kids are conditioned to want the latest rage toy and too often parents cave in and buy it. Most kids have far too many toys and commercial toy stifle creativity. the best toys are the ones that awaken the imagination...cardboard boxes of all sizes, pieces of fabric, nuts and bolts, empty thread spools, plastic bottles, blocks of wood, string and rubber bands. Parents can show their love by spending time with their kids and saying no more often. Over indulged children are usually unhappy adults.

I dont really know because my faimly does not come from money nor does my childrens and no is a very common word when it comes to the mommies I want likely for me my children dont really pull the i want it. I am bless with happy wonderful children and it takes work to make children like that which I am sure should make great people,

I'm sure you're right. I had second thoughts about that post after I made it. the thing is complaining about the price of toys when the only control you have is whether or not to buy them is futile. So I was looking for an alternative to buying them. Maybe a better solution is to buy good used toys from a thrift shop. In my area that is completely doable.

I agree. The prices are ridiculous and i've witnessed people selling the must have toys that can't be got for double the price just because they know people will buy them at christmas. It's mad.
