I was reading the guidelines today about something and read about clicking the rating of a post in a discussion. I have done this quite often just because. But now I wonder... do you get paid more if people click + on your comment? I do it just to be nice and keep the discussion going and all that stuff. But was just wondering.... anyo ne know?

I think that the payout might depend on the rating of the poster, and the +/- scheme determines the poster rating. The idea being that posters with higher ratings produce more quality posts and should be rewarded more when they post. Since myLot would prefer to pay people who make quality posts rather than people who just cut and paste garbage into the window, they have to rely on users to rate each other to determine who is actually making quality posts. Clearly myLot is going to try and keep their equation for determining earnings as secret as possible so people don't figure out how to cheat the system, maybe we will never know.

Well, can't blame them for trying to keep the cheaters out. They sure ruin it for the rest of us! Cheaters have ruined it , nearly anyway, on the GPT side of things and cost alot of people alot of money. So i say if MyLot can keep them out just by not divulging everything, I am glad they don't!

I do not know about the paying part.I always rate people with a+.As you say its an encouragement.never have I marked anyone negatively.I just leave it without marking it.Ofcourse if its a one liner I just leave it without rating it.It would be nice if everyone remembers to do the rating.

I am not sure, but I know the pay for posting here is very slow it takes time to make a payout.

I made my first payout (just joined oct 26) last Sunday. I'm not complaining! I do have to complain that "I can't stop!" sometimes, but since it is so much fun, I'll "pay the piper" elsewhere!

No, not to hard to make cash out each month. I have learned how to play! Wasn't to hard, you just have to like to talk and ask questions and help others and make comments and even learn a thing or two! Nice group of friends we all have here!

Of course no one knows how we get paid or if what you say is true. I sure would like to think it is true. Wouldn't that be a nice bonus, but also how about the person that marks all the discussions they do respond to. I always make sure I rate a discussion before I respond to it. I don't rate any - because if I thought it deserved one than I wouldn't be responding to it. So I just pass it up. I do know that is how you get your star rating. That is your reputation known here, which I think is kind of dumb, really. It means nothing to me if a person has a 2 star or a 10 star, if I like the discussion and I want to respond to it, I do. Wouldn't it be nice if mylot sent out a message to us all, stating their pay structure. Never gonna happen.
