Have you picked out your holiday cards yet? Mailed them? What kind did you choose? Did you pick out a traditional card or did you choose something light and fun? I chose a fun card this year. They are Disney theme and have Disney characters on the front. What did you choose to send out to friends and family members this year?

I decided to get photo cards. They are 5x7 cards with 4 wedding pics on them and a nice border/background. Then there is a merry christmas message from us. I like this idea and plan to send a photo card every year with pics of me and my husband during vacations/events from the year. A lot of my family are in to the traditional cards, especially religious, but I'm into personalized. My aunt also makes personal cards which are neat! This year she took a pic of our house, digitally added snow and christmas decor, and even added Homer (dressed as santa) trying to get in through the chimney. It was really cute.

I love your idea! These will be awesome keepsakes for family members, especially those out of town that you don't see often. LOL on your aunt's cards! How cute!

This year I'm making my christmas cards. To add that special extra touch. so far one friend who's received my card has emailed to say she really loves it. she sent me one too. but it was a store bought marks and spencers one. my christmas cards have a ribbon and usually the person's name stamped on the envelope.

Hahaha, same here. I bought some Disney cards and they are still in the box. I probably will never find my address book. I may try and do that one night this week and at least get them postmarked BEFORE Christmas!

We have 3 dachshunds, so last year I had dachshund cards! It seems like every year I buy new cards, and I always have 2 or 3 left over. I save them becuase I hate to throw anything away. So this year, I'm trying to use up the cards left over. So I have all kinds, traditional, funny, cute, religious, etc. It just depends on the mood I was in that particular year.

How cute! I have a couple of doxies myself. They are great pets. I bet your cards were adorable. That's a great idea too, making holiday cards with your pets as the stars! Awesome!

I seldom send holiday cards. In the past I liked to send it, but not any more for right now. As I don't want to waste it because one card is for one tree. I send e-cards in stead of the paper cards. I think they are the same. You just express your greetings to your friends and families. So no matter what it is, they will also appreciate to it.

I prefer ecards because I'm always running late on doing things for the holidays and ecards allows me to zip them off at the last minute if it goes down to the wire.

I picked a cute card that has a kitten drawn on it that looks just like my cat at it's at santa's feet. In fact I have to make a note right now to send them out this week or I'll be 2 weeks late like I was last year, lol.

I've done that! Mailed after New Years...so they just become holiday cards or Happy New Year cards. LOL. It's the thought that counts!

I don't send cards, first of all I don't celebrate any of the winter holidays. But I do try and write an end of the year letter recapping all the primary highlights for the past year. My friends and family like that much more than a small card with a verse or two as I write about 3 pages of letter.

I won't be sending holiday cards this year. Doubt I'll even be giving my friends any paper cards. Just too much hassle to send them out, or to hand them out. Not to mention, it's pretty wasteful, when you could send out E-cards that don't take paper from the environment and what not. But, that's just me I guess.

I think the computer age has cut down on the mailing of Christmas cards. It costs less and the cards are awesome too and some even animated. Great point!

honestly, i don't send holiday cards anymore. I used to when i was in high school and college, i used to send one for my father who's away from us for 25 years now, my mother who's just at home, my brother and sisters and friends. But as time goes on, holiday cards here in our country seems no longer exists. Nobody wants to send it anymore. They usually send their greeting thru cell phones, internet or webcam. But if i will be given the chance to send one again for my loved ones, i would. i used to make cards on my own..so, it has my personal touch..and they love it. Have a great day to you and continue sending cards to anyone.

I might wind up simply sending email cards to a lot of people. I just don't have the funds to get cards or mail them..can get pretty expensive at times. I'll probably get a few cards to send to people..the ones that don't have computers! Actually I took time off from MyLotting tonight as I was designing a few cards on my computer...might use those to send many of my friends here and place in their comments area on their profile page

I used to send traditional holiday cards out,but now I prefer to send e-cards to my friends and relatives. There are many beautiful and amazing e-cards in internet and it is so convenient that you need not choose cards in stores, go to post office to send. Besides if you are supposed to send card to many people, it must be a large amount of money for price of traditional cards and postage for cards. If it is true, it must be a large expenditure on card things. As the christmas is nearly at the corner, I have planned to choose more fancy e-cards in free card website and send out soon. It feels very exciting that I could send so much cards in internet as possible and I should not worry more expenditure followed in such items. At the same time, I have ever been told that paper cards are made of woods in forest. Every year many trees are cut to make cards like festival cards. For the sake of our environment, some scientists have promoted the public to send e-cards instead of paper cards.
