i think the cheapest solar powered device is a solar powered calculator... hahaha... seriously though, the latest one they developed is a solar powered cellphone charger. other than that, i don't know... in LA, there a law supporting people who set up solar panels above their house for better alternative source of energy.. most people with this set up only pays about a dollar per month for electricity...
