I AM SO EXCITED!! I got a PM over at Facebook this morning from my gf who lives in Roch (but we've been friends for several yrs from back in Canada) and she informed me that two of our old friends from back home are coming up next weekend to hang with us! I've not seen these women since we were all teens so I'm so excited!! as my gf in Roch said "we're hook!n up with our B!tches" LOL The four of us used to be quite entertaining together so this is going to be a total treat for me!! Have you ever lost touch with close friends only to meet up with them later in life and get together to talk about old times and what not? How did it go? Are you still in touch?

Well, we had a meeting with old classmates whom i hadnt seen for many years. It didnt turn out good. The meeting was very boring, more like a competition of who managed better. We exchanged cellphones and the rest, promised to meet soon but didnt. Why?I guess some things pass and must be left at past.Sad as it might seem. After all, the best friends whom i have known since i was 6, i have been in touch with them, they are my buddies and stuff. Those who were worthy, those you never forget them, thats my opinion. And that meeting, well.I was happy to see them again, but nothing more.

Cool!!! I've recently been in contact with some old friends from high school too through myspace! And I just found one of my closer ones but I'm still waiting to hear from her. I've been looking for her on there a while too. I really haven't lost touch with my best friends in high school. We haven't gotten together or anything but we write and email one another. It would be nice seeing them sometime.

Great picture!!! I would love to! I tried on my birthday this past year to get together with on of them (we didn't all hang out together) but she bailed on me at the last minute. My hubby is still pissed at that. She told my dad later when she ran into him that she was ashamed for her to see me because she's gained weight...who hasn't?! Like I'd care though - you know?! I didn't love her cause she was thin LOL.

It's really a great feeling meeting with old friends after such a long time. Last October my college classmates and friends and I had a get together. We eat in a restaurant and had a great time sharing our experiences and our present life. I have not seen some of them for more than 25 years, so we're so excited meeting up again and reminiscing the old times (college life and escapades). It was also great talking about our own families now.

It is great..hopefully next summer I'll be actually "touring" Southern and almost Northern Ontario and hooking up with many old friends and I'd like to have a bunch of them come here with their kids for a weekend to camp in my backyard or something too...I like the restaurant idea without a doubt, its not as loud and busy as a club is so it'd be a great start to our evening since the girls are only up for one night :-(

Hi Ravenladyj! Based on your post, I could sense that you are very much eager in meeting up with your old friends. Well, it is a very normal reaction. Seeing old friends would make you reminisce all the good old days you've shared. I could simply relate to that because my high school batch mates are planning for a reunion before Christmas and I, too is very excited for such reunion. For me, being with old friends is a moment worthy to be cherished. They say nothing compares to the bonding we have with old friends. We may meet new friends along the way but the old friends shall always remain in our hearts. Cheers!

Yea I'm so excited!!! We used to have so much fun back in the day but we all ended moving to various places, like i was on the road stripping, my one gf was on the road as well then moved to Florida, the other was on the go too doing her own thing (not dancing though) and the third was married with a little one so we just lost touch...I'm SO STOKED LOL

Make it a point to send your friend a msg of some sort each week to keep in touch. Hopefully, your friend will do the same, or at least reply to you. It's not wrong for you wanting to know where your friendship stands, but if you are not getting negative vibes from your friend then I think your friendship will be fine and will endure time and distance. Life gets busy and changes so fast. It's easy to become out of touch with those you love or care about. On the other hand, if you make an honest effort to keep the lines of communication open, your friendship will last for the long haul. You may have to be the one to initiate keeping in touch, but if the friendship is something you value, it shouldn't be a problem. If you move, change your phone number, email address or whatever, make sure your friend knows about it so they can continue to contact you.

How happy I am for you! I hope that you have a wonderful time! Please remember the same thing you tell your children - no drinking and driving! If you are going to drink, stay at home and make sure the others spend the night. That would be so much fun to have an adult pajama party anyway! Please make sure you let us all know how the day goes. ~Donna

That sounds great! Me and my friends have been trying to set a date but unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet. But when I was in Japan, I was usually the one who would invite my friends from grade school to meet up every once in a while and enjoy the company. The last we got to do that was about way back in year 2000. It always brings good and interesting memories when you meet up with your pals whom you haven't meet in a long time. Occassional phone calls and emailing might be done, but it's always different when everyone gives that extra effort to meet up! I hope you enjoy your day together and probably do it as much as you can! Have a blast (^_^)

Wow that is really amasing! I've known a few people who have found old friends from elementary school on face book lately. I think facebook is great for this reason. I personally haven't found super old friends. However facebook has allowed me to keep in touch with family and friends easier.
