I didn't know that AC doesn't give upfront payments for poetry! Anyway, I woke up this morning and decided I would try my luck at submitting a poem and see if it was accepted. Well of course it was. They don't even read the poems first. They get automatically submitted and you only get paid for page views. If you have time, it's a Redneck joke sort of poem, could you read it and let me know what you think? Did it make you laugh? Should I give up writing poems all together? I have written some really serious ones for my husband but, he says they are his and he won't share them with anyone so, don't worry, they will never be published anywhere. LOL

well ofcourse i will check it out.thats funny that you wrote this discussion because 2 days ago i wrote my first poem that i have ever written in my life,and well i wrote it on a.c. but it didn't get published yet,i have no idea how good it is or if it's ok but i said what the heck and just go for it lol.so i will check it out forsure.pattie xoxoxo

i already read it and it was great.i got the email that you wrote it because i subscribed to you but i am just getting caught up with all my emails now.i submitted the poem yesterday and i haven't heard anything else yet.i did take a chance and put for upfrount payment.never know.pattie

Awe! Thank you for reading it. I showed it to my husband and my kids last night. They couldn't believe that I wrote it. They were all so proud. You say you write for AC too.
