Does the world benefit from the change in iraq or what?

Iraq is part of the middle east with huge natural resources and past civilization.It had for long argument with USA concerning power,which ended with the change of regime in 2003 by the multinationals led by the USA. Since then the area has become in volcano. So is that it? or where the area is heading for? better or worst to the civilized world? I think there are several parties involved and not just the USA or Iraq, that effect the balance of power in the area and hence world future prospectives.
