I haven't decorated inside the house or put up a tree yet. I'm not sure if I want to move furniture around to accommodate our huge tree if the kids aren't going to be here for the holidays. I don't feel the holiday mood yet. Am I the only one?

You probably aren't the only one, but eventhough it will just be me and my s/o and our pup for the most part, I couldn't think of not decorating or putting up a tree at Christmas. It sometimes takes me a bit to get going, but once I open the boxes and start going through the decorations, then I put on some Christmas music and I'm soon in the mood.

I know how you feel. I middle of the road can be a small tree that can help you feel festive with out going all out. Small trees won't break the bank either, and trees in a pot can be planted after Christmas is over.

LOL! I did everything this year but the tree. My family just gets together. Our table is done festively though. * The reason why no tree is that the landlord chose this time to replace the kitchen and the bathroom floors which have HAD IT. There is no room anywhere for even the smallest seedling of a tree. * I do have two poinsettias who both have tree pretensions.

I don't feel that way this year, but I have in the past, so I know how you feel and where you're coming from! The year when my kids were off in college and away from home, I just didn't feel like putting up my big tree just for me. Then when I thought about it, I decided that maybe the tree and decorating would help solve the blues and bring back all the good memories. For me, I believe happiness is a choice that sometimes I have to decide to make, which I've found is far better than succumbing to the doldrums or getting depressed because they weren't able to be home for Christmas. Sending you a big Christmas hug, and wishes for a happier holiday.

Hubby and I made a night of it we took the boxes out, set and decorated the tree and sat around by the fireplace. This weekend we'll finish decorating the rest of the house. I'm getting more in the mood for the holidays now! :) Thanks for the encouragement and the Christmas hug Happy holidays to you as well {{{Holiday Hugs)))

I'm really pushing it this year. I've never waited this long to decorate and such. I think it's starting to get more festive and the snow is on it's way...well, that's a good news, bad news situation LOL!
