I had my daughter's first birthday party over the weekend. We gave Alexis (my daughter) her very own cake. As soon as I put it down on in front of her she dug right in to it. It was so cute and fun to watch her. She made a very big mess. Her shirt is stained with pink splots...I'm going to keep it for her keepsake box. Did you let your child have their very own birthday cake on their 1st birthday? If so did you have as much fun as your child did?

Oh, yes , we did that with all our kids, and my wife had a box for each one of the kids, where she saved the kids' keepsakes, and she still has them! We had as much fun, and even when we look at the pictures, it's like reliving the fun again!

Aww... I don't have kids, but I know that it's tradition in my family to have your own cake when we turn one. We have pictures and everything. I watch my neices and nephews dig into their cakes and I think it's adorable.

Oh, that's too precious! It's a lot of fun when they get their own cake isn't it?! (Talk about the great pictures you probably got...) That reminded me of my grandsons third birthday. We got him a cake with miniature heavy equipment on it, and while we were getting the paper plates and forks out, he started excavating the whole cake and driving over all of the frosting hahaha. Yikes! What a mess lol! We had a lot of fun, plus some really great pictures to tease him with when he gets older. From then on, we started getting two cakes!

Thank you for the compliments on my daughter's picture. I hope you got lots of pictures of your son. It was the first time I gave my daughter any kind of sweet stuff also so she loved it. Have a great day.
