The Central Intelligence Agency admitted that it destroyed videotapes of harsh interrogations of terror suspects. This might lead to legal challenges to the agency's actions. Do the destruction of these tapes actually mean the CIA is above the law or it disregards the law? Do you think it was the right thing to do? Do you think the explanation that the tapes were destroyed to protect the families from Al qaeda holds water?

The CIA has always felt they are above the law (along with most, if not all, agencies of the U. S. Government). I think the people of the United States need to take a long hard look at the people we've allowed power and decide if we want to perpetuate a corrupt oligarchy to rule us or do we want to try democracy?
