Ok, It's Friday morning, you're running late, the roads are crap, 3 inches of snow, and crazy drivers on the road anxious for the weekend. You drop kids off at school and day care, and on way to the gas station, when all of a sudden....
That's right, you start losing speed. You've done this so many times, you know what's happening so you pull into Arby's parking lot.
You look at your phone and the battery is running low, and of course you left your charger in other vehicle. So, with limited battery power, who do you call to come rescue you, AGAIN, and bring you some gas?
I know what you all are thinking, just call AAA, right? Well, if you have AAA you know that it can take up to 35-45 minutes, especially if you live in a small town.
So, your options are: 1) The Fiance-who lives in another town, 15-20 minuets away on the highway (20-30 if caught in rush hour traffic or accidents are on highway due to the weather)? 2) The Ex-Husband, who lives in the same town, and still in love with you, but will talk crap because he is being called not the fiance? or 3) An ex-boyfriend, who is also the father to one of your children, who also lives in town, but is on way to open his restaurant, and paid this months car note so your money could be used for Christmas shopping?
So tell me, who would you call?
I'll post a part 2 to this discussion so you know how it turned out, and after I get everyone's response. I tell ya, my nickname is DRAMA for a reason.

Ok call the fiance to fill him in on the situation just to be courdious and not have the word get around and then call the ex-boyfriend. Not the ex-hubby becuase obviously you two don't really get along and then ex-boyfriend yeah you have a kid together but it wasn't like getting a divorce kinda split.

Thank you, that's a very good response. I see all of your valid points. Of course my first instinct should have been to call the fiance, but for some reason it wasn't. Please stay tuned for the second part of this discussion. It gets good.

Well first of all, if it had happened to me before I wouldn't be dumb enough to let it happen again. I would have gotten gas the night before after I had picked the kids up from school.
But, if something like that did happen...I would walk into Arbys and ask if anyone could give me a lift to the nearest gas station.
I would not involve any of the men that you mentioned.

Ok, under normal circumstances I would agree with you. However Arby's wasn't open yet. Not only that, I live in a real prudish area, and it takes about 20 min. of serious prayer for someone to stop to help a little black girl. Also, even though I'm very inteligent, I have a thing for just running, running, running, and don't really focus on putting gas in until after the kids are dropped off. Also, it's probably something that will never change, been this way for years. And usually I reset my mileage everytime I put gas in it, but I let the ex-husband use the truck the day before, and he forgot to reset the mileage.
Thank you for your input, it is greatly appreciated. Please stay tuned to find out how this all went down.

If it was me, I'd call the ex-b/f. He's nearby, there's no strings attached, he's already out and you know he'd help you out. The fiance is too far away and it would take quite awhile and the ex-husband sounds like he's got some issues and still has strings attached. Good luck with it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

You people are sharp today. I mean really on point and hitting the spot. Yes, the ex-husband does still have MAJOR strings attatched, but we're cool. Yes, fiance was far, seemed even further since it was rush hour time. Look out for part 2 of this discussion and see how it ended.

Well lets see, that's pretty easy, AAA, because I know they could be there in 10 - 15 minutes. I couldn't call my ex-husband, because he lives in another state. I don't have any family here or ex-boyfriends so that's not an option. I could call my boyfriend, but if he's at work, that's not an option, he works in another city, that is at the least 45 minutes away. Although, he could probably call one of his guys to bring me gas (he's in law enforcement and was stationed just 10 minutes from our house), but then was transferred. I'm thinking that since your nickname is drama......it was either the ex-boyfriend or ex-husband.

LOL.. I like you... You are on the ball with this discussion. I see you picked up on the screen name..LOL..Well, I wish I had such an easy option as you. But it's nice to know if something ever happened to you on the road, you got it covered without any DRAMA. Please stay tuned and see how this crazy morning ended.

LOL... I see you were paying attention. No, they weren't open yet, thanks for asking. Unfortunately, we probably see too much of each other. But anyway, of course you would think first thought would be to call the fiance. However, all three popped in my head at the same time. I'm glad you are enjoying the post. If you are in to reading other peoples drama, definitely add me as a friend, my display name isn't dramaqn for nothing. LOL...So, please stay tuned and watch how this whole thing unfolded.

dramaqn to spare any sparks from you es husband or ex boyfriend or current fiance, wow you do have em, call tha aaa its worth that extra wait not to have currents or exes all upset with you
for whatever reason. My reason, the AAA will not have any emotional ties with you and will just see you as another
unlucky patron. always avoid trouble if you can is my motto and it does keep things peaceful too.
