More and more we are hearing and reading of these terible things happening..I don't know how many stories we heard and read about in 2007 that pertain to someone opening fire and killing innocent people.
I have also recall numerous stories of road rage and people losing control of their car.
People killing spouse ..parents killing children ..children killing parents.
What is this world coming to..what is the root and cause of so much more violence???

A very good start would be what is offered to watch on TV and at the movies. I don't even watch TV prime time anymore. The violence is hidious and there it is, mapping out how the killer did what they did. Just gives ideas to people when they go postal. Movies ar the same way - and this time is done by a favorite actor! I'd be willing to bet that many get their ideas from TV/movie crime shows. Throw in that you can literally find anything on the internet and bingo - instant lunatic.

You know ..those are my thoughts, exactly..I think that media and the press only serve to plant ideas into minds that are already demented. It's sad enough that families of the victims received such bad news.
They then have to watch it over and over again..hear on the radio..see on the tv..read it in the papers..It's a constant reliving of losing their loved ones..
I think it's just terrible
I agree that the movies and even kid cartoons and video games only breed violence and hatred.

Hi littlefranciscan! Gosh, I really don't known why there are so many evil things and bad things going on around the globe actually. Almost all people in general know what is bad and what is good. It is just so simple to differentiate one from the other; still, so many people commit the bad things. I think it must be the stress and pressure of living in this modern world. The expectations have for ourselves and others make us go crazy. Are we a generation of selfish people? We just tend to think about what we want and not consider that if we get it, people may get hurt? If you could only care and love genuinely, maybe we will stop killing and destroying one another. May we all love and care, not only in words but also in deeds. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day my friend. :)

Some people would do anything to be famous, including doing something that will make them infamous. That's why most newspapers won't print stories about school bomb threats anymore. They know plenty of kids will see the story and think they can make the paper by doing the same.
