Christmas Time at Arlington National

Arlington Cemetery at Christmas - Isn't it stunning? I think the colors are so crisp against the snowy earth...
perhaps the green not only represents our everlasting gratitude to these brave and selfless men and women, but also the uniform which many of them wore.
Perhaps the red can signify their many sacrifices for country and countryman alike.

Around five thousand!!! wreaths are donated to adorn the gravestones of fallen soldiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery. They are not donated by a slew of different people but from the owner of Worcester Wreath Company out of Harrington Maine. Not only does he (Merrill Worcester) donate the wreaths he also arranges and pays for them to be delivered, he has been making this charitable act every year since 1992 (15 years now!) I think it looks stunning, and it brings a tear to my eye.
