Have you ever had something happen to you and you think to yourself "If I only knew". Me too. I think it would have been a great idea that when you're born, the doctor gives your parents two tapes or cd's(depending on the year you were born)to go with you. One would be of all the childhood issues. The other would be the adult stuff. Some of us may have more than one for each depending on the drama we have in our lives. For me I need a hundred.lol The stipulation with the cd would be that we couldnt change any one else's drama, just ours. The cd would be to let you see what would happen in relationships, friendships, and other issues we'd have thru out our lives. Imagine the questions it would answer. I would have known what relationships wouldnt last and who really said certains things. I wouldnt have to waste my time on people that were only out to hurt me.
I have a difficult time picking the right friends. For some reason, I always get the person who has done everything, been everywhere, and their kids are perfect(terrors). I am soo tired of being in a long term relationship and then 15 years later we're finished. I am hoping the man I am with now will be forever. I want it to be. If I had it on tape, I would know.
Yes it would take the fun out of making certain decisions. In my life, I have had a lot of drama and hurtful stuff happen to me by other people. I would have liked to have been warned.

d, I do think you have given the best advice I would give to ANY person in the 16-21 year old age range just now. Even (and maybe especially) the girls. Definitely make decisions using the head located above the shoulders, not the heart or any other body part.

Your desire for adventure and mystery is admirable. However, I have a child, 19 yrs old, This is definitely where I would want to see a cd. At this age youre anxious to get out in the world to make decisions on your own. You are legally becoming an adult. This is where the problems could begin. I hope you and your parents dont go through these problems. I think it is inevitable. You can now go with your own wants and desires without seeking the ok from an adult. You are the MAN!lol just be careful. Make your decisions using the head above your shoulders.lol THink things through always. Good Luck xbox! You are going to give the world a run for their money. Yes it could be good but I think we learn so much from the journey we take, and I look at it that there is two sides to every lesson as the other person or persons involved what happens affects them as well, every second and everything you do in life affects the future in some way...

I would rather take things to caught me by surprise. I dont want to really know what will happen next, or whom will leave me in the next few seconds, or the things that I wont have in life...I dont want to be helpless. Being warned but cannot do anything. if its a tape already WE CANNOT CHANGE IT, though WE KNOW THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN... why? simply because if we change what will about to happen then the next tape that we have will definitely meaningless... WHY? because what is there is a continuation of the part 1 tape... and if you did not follow what happened to the PART 1...the part2 of your life will be clueless... See... we cannot fake it... Life has its own way. It has its own trick...
Life is a big battlefield but I believe that all the hurts and pain that we have in life is an experience to help us and strengthen us... it will make us wiser and better. Me, I have experienced a lot of pain when it comes to love. I've been married but my husband was snatched from me by another woman. Though it tear me into pieces, still I manage to stand up and find life's another meaning. Now, I can say that I found the answer why such things have to happen. Just make the most out of life and never get tired to learn. In the end... you will understand why.

I see your point. I started this discussion to see what the overall opinion was. You have made a very good campaign for not wanting this. If I came with a tape or cd, I would be able to change certain things. That was the point of the cd. My daughter has been through alot of things that I would have liked to have been able to step in front of. I am sure that I wouldn want to know everything about my life. I just want to feel as if I am in control. The issues that life puts forward make it hard to be in control.Thanks for your response.

Oh I would have to say that I have had a million or so " If I had only known " moments and I think that we kinds do. In the sense that we get certain instincts and feelings about people and situations that for one reason or another we choose to ignore. And then when we end up disappointed we are surprised....
As far as the other things in life, I think that there are instructions in the fact that people have already done the things that we want to do. But for some reason we all think that we need to re invent the wheel. When in fact all that we need to do is what has already been done. And there is no saying that we cant do it better. Just that the road has already been paved and all we need to do is stay between the lines.
As for the other things like relationships, Our experiences in life make us who we are and good bad or otherwise there are alot of experiences that while painful then now I would not trade for the world.

I hope humans would become more mechanical and those forthcoming situation might be making them more conscious or tensed according to the situations they face. More of planning are done more strategically and systematically. Any how this would help those police to get the CD of criminals as their job may get more easier as they would know what that human in future could do.

I think life sure would have been a lot easier if I had known certain things. At the same time, I would have a hard time choosing which thing I would change. As soon as you make one change your entire life would go in a different direction. I have two or three major points that I would like to see played out differently. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing those choices would have turned out any better. I guess in the long run I'm glad I don't know what will happen next. No one said life would be fair or easy. It just sucks that it seems to be more fair or more easy for some!
